So what is Family Life Protect insurance cover?
Family Life Protect insurance is a plan that pays out a lump sum to you or your family if you pass away because of an accident or illness, or are left permanently disabled because of accident.Claims Procedure
Customer / Beneficiary notifies UAP Life at the time of event (loss of life or accident resulting in permanent disability). The benefits shall become payable only by mobile money upon receipt of all necessary documens. Claims must be made within 60 days of death / disablement of the insured.Your claim will not be valid if death was caused by
- Intoxicants drugs or insanity willful exposure to peril, self-inflicted injury or criminal act.
- Medical surgical treatment
- War or other civil commotion (eg Civil riots)
- Aggravated by any physical defect / infirmity that existed prior to the accident / death.
- Any fraud relating to the policy at any stage of the cover.
Who can be covered?
The minimum age of entry is 18 years and maximum is 75years to 85 years at Renewable (ie customers who turned 76 years of age cannot sign-up for the product) cover ceases at 75 years of age.Beneficiaries
